James Dolan, the often-criticized owner of the New York Knicks has once again stepped up during the coronavirus pandemic.

Dolan tested positive for the virus late in March but has now tested negative. He has registered to donate blood plasma to help others with the virus. The plasma of people who have recovered from the virus may help those who currently have the virus.

In addition to this donation, Dolan set up a fund to help workers at Madison Square Garden after the NBA and NHL (Dolan also owns the New York Rangers) suspended play this season. Workers at the Garden will continue to receive pay through the end of May.

While Dolan takes a lot of heat for the way he runs the Knicks, he has certainly made a positive difference during the pandemic.
